Island Discussion #4: Sharks!

Hello penguins! Welcome to the latest edition of Island Discussion! It has been a while since the last but it just so happens that the mysterious Sharks trend has kept us quiet over the last month or two. Yes, Sharks…

At the Penguin Cup (June 19th-July 1st) Sharks were a popular fraternity out of the 4 teams that were competing. Being a Sharks penguin myself, I was happy and thrilled that the Sharks won. To be honest they were stretching well ahead from the other 3 teams but the Sharks lead was very noticeable. They finished off with 181771967 points! That is 147802712 more points than Hot Sauce! (33969255 pts.) The other teams were very close indeed! Especially with Fluffies; only one point ahead of the Space Squids! It was very tight and competitive but we almost knew from the start that Sharks were going to be successful. Hmm… Why could this be?

Since Sharks’ victory at the Penguin Cup, they have become the new mascot at CPU and have their own gym igloo! Also they share a mascot costume and there was even a regular Shark costume at the Music Jam 2014. It seems that they have got a lot of attention going. I wouldn’t be raving on about this if one of the other 3 teams had one the Penguin Cup. This is because the Shark trend started earlier this year!

Do you remember (at the Prehistoric Party 2014) that the Megalodon escaped from the Iceberg? I was very intrigued by the news, at the time, because it could possibly link with tipping the iceberg. Now, here we are (heading towards the end of the year) and what has happened since?

First. A shark fin has been spotted circumnavigating the Iceberg since THE Megalodon had escaped the Iceberg at the Prehistoric Party 2014. Below is an image of it (present):

Could this be the Megalodon?

Second. This piece of evidence was spotted at the Marvel Super Hero Takeover 2013. It shows the Megalodon (in a tank) behind a villainous seat, in the Villain Lair. Below is an image of it.

Notice: the eye in the bottom right corner of the tank.

Third. In the Penguin Times (Issue #464) There is an article-by Gary-on the ‘Mighty Megalodon’. Below is a screenshot of the image as well as the article, itself, written in text. Take a look!

Mighty Megalodon

“A menacing monster from the past.”

Did you know the Iceberg isn’t filled with ice?

In prehistoric times, there was a huge shark called a Megalodon frozen inside!

But then increased volcanic activity caused a state change in the Iceberg. That means it got warm from all the lava!

Scientists reported that the Megalodon went missing!

Even more alarming, a very large fin was sighted near the present-day Iceberg. I theorise that this is the very same shark!

For scientific reasons, I really want to find out more about it. Like its name! For other reasons, I’m scared of getting anywhere near it!

Now that Gary is just about noticing it, this topic could lead to an enormous surprise coming soon. He even quoted “I theorise that this is the very same shark!” After noticing it part of the Marvel Super Hero Takeover, I wouldn’t be surprised if it were to become a new threat to Club Penguin, or even a villain!

Last of all, I have an image of the new Club Penguin homepage background. Most of you would know that the team update the background judging by the seasonal event on Club Penguin. This months background is relatively similar to a textbook page with doodles on it. However the centre of it is covered up by the CSS layout. In the centre of the background I have found an image of the Megalodon! Here:

Cool, right?

That concludes this Island Discussion, for now, however I will probably be back with more information on the Megalodon when there is more evidence to back up my “Shark Mysteries”. Below will be a gallery of all the shark related items in Club Penguin. There is an image at the end which will link in with my next Island Discussion!

Thanks for reading this edition and I hope you will stay tuned for more Island Discussions in the future!
