CP Around The Clock: Success

Hello, everyone!

CP Around The Clock kicked off at 12:00pm (PST), on server Marshmallow, and it ended 24 hours later. This 24 hour party was outstanding! That’s right; 24 hours – straight! Who knew this was possible?

In the Summer of 2016, Daisydoo14 created CP Around The Clock for the fun of it. Also, considering it was the Summer, she acknowledged that more people would be free to take part in this event. For its first debut, the event was successful! A lot of people found it fun, which is the main objective of this event. However, 24 hours of Club Penguin is as difficult as it sounds; not every hour was fully occupied.

To celebrate New Year’s of 2017, Daisy decided bring back CPATC. It was at this one, I became more interested. I managed to reserve and hour and everyone was pumped for it. Unfortunately, this particular event didn’t go far.

Bots. And a lot of them.

Someone wanted to ruin the fun, so they deployed several bot penguins across the party – and they were almost unstoppable. I never got to host my hour because of these bots. It was so cruel of them to do this because CPATC is not your ordinary event. It takes a lot of time to prepare it. It is such a shame that one penguin can just ruin that within a matter of seconds.

So, CPATC was officially cancelled during its run.

Daisy was devastated. So was I. I tried my best to keep it going but everyone was tired of the bots. We ended up giving in which made the bots the new worst enemy to our community.

A month later, I proposed an idea to Daisy. During January, I created the So Long CP project. I was determined to revive CPATC from its plunge and I wanted to make it successful again. Daisy and I negotiated and, before long, the event was placed into my flippers. At the time, I was very excited, but the fear of bots never escaped my mind. Daisy warned me about the stress this caused her; I started to feel a bit nervous. On the other hand, I was very determined and I believed that incorporating this event into the So Long CP project would make it even better!

Two months later, CP Around The Clock made its third debut. And it blew me away.

The stress of finding just as many people as last time was higher than I anticipated and there was a lot of drama involved before the event kicked off. I took on board that every host during this event had to be someone I could trust and rely on. For CPATC to be successful, it needs dedication from the community. It costed a few friendships of mine to find the dream team for this event, and it paid off -luckily!

Highlighting memories shared with the Club Penguin community.

Scrapbook will be a category all about making memories with the Club Penguin community. Each post will either highlight memories from a particular community event or give you information on what there is to expect in the Club Penguin community. The title suggests that Scrapbook will allow this blog to be more creative. Especially with new projects on the horizon, I believe that this category will be perfect for reminiscing!

Speaking of projects, you may have heard that So Long CP will be officially commencing next week! If you have no idea what this project is, I suggest you check out the page for it right here. It involves the community in a BIG way so it would be amazing to see lots of penguins get involved with it. You can also check out the video for it on the sidebar!

Club Penguin: My Top 10 Memories

Hello, everyone!

I was suggested, by Riyita, to make a post that highlights my, personal, top 10 most memorable moments on Club Penguin. I don’t think that I have ever made a post like this so I think making this post is ideal!

If you didn’t know already, I joined Club Penguin in September 2008 which is almost 8 years ago from today. Therefore, every memory I post occurred ever since then. Also, I will be working through this top ten in chronological order. All of my most memorable moments are as memorable as each other so I found it difficult to rank them all. Anyway, let’s begin the top 10!

10. My First Day

How can I ever forget my first day in Club Penguin? It was too exciting to forget! I remember logging on for the first time to find myself lost in the Town. There were so many people online and I am not exaggerating. It took about half a minute before I could locate where I was in the room which overwhelmed me a lot. I knew that Club Penguin was a popular game because I was influenced by many people around me. Club Penguin was a trending game when I was younger and I only felt that it was right to create an account so that I can explore a snowy island of wonder. I remember spamming the friend button so that I could get as many friends as I could. Unfortunately, I didn’t screenshot at all when I was a young Club Penguin player, so all I can use is this image. It reflects the popularity of Club Penguin when I first joined in 2008.

9. Earning my Black Belt

Now I skip forward to February 2009. It was around this time when I discovered the Dojo and the ancient art of Card-Jitsu. I think I took a small hiatus before then which explains why I was surprised to see the Dojo on the map. All I can say about this memory is that I was so determined. When I played Card-Jitsu with some fellow members of the community, I became instantly addicted and I remember logging back onto Club Penguin more than once a day, every day, every week in order to claim the “legendary” black belt. At the time, it was so treasured because if you had the black belt, you had the power. Can you remember all of the frustrating times when you were a wannabe ninja who always used to challenge Sensei in hope of a win? Only the black belt granted you that win; that being the ninja mask.
