Island Discussion #30: Continuity

Hello, everyone!

Have you seen the number yet? We have reached the 30th post of my Island Discussion series and I am proud of what we have accomplished, so far. Mysteries still linger which is what makes them exciting but it has been an immense journey which I have thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you to everyone who reads my Island Discussions and I appreciate all of the engagements within the discussions that have brought the topic this far.

For today’s topic, I want to talk about the future and how it could, potentially, have an impact on the island’s deepest mysteries. As you may know, Project: Super Secret is inbound and a lot of us are excited. This project is going to revamp everything in Club Penguin and make it 3D. Therefore, we will be able to advance our journey to a deeply vibrant virtual world which will have a lot more depth (at least we think it will). Consequently, we would assume that this will only mean that mysteries will get better and more extensive. I mean, what else would an upgrade deliver to us?

Even though the next big thing for Club Penguin looks incredible, we need to remember that the project was originally the creation of a new app called Disney Mix. For some reason, the 3D rendering of Club Penguin was never originally considered until the team figured out a way to link, both, Disney Mix and Club Penguin together. Disney Mix was meant to give Club Penguin players the opportunity to enhance their conversations because everyone knows how unsatisfactory the chat filter is. However, it seems that the team took a new approach; what if Club Penguin took over Disney?

This resulted in a bigger project which leads the team to work on enhancing the technology Club Penguin uses so that it will become more efficient as an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). I think it is safe to say that everyone in the Club Penguin community is stoked to hear this. If Club Penguin unveiled to us that this “super secret project” was – actually – the development of a new app called Disney Mix (which only incorporates Club Penguin within it) we all would have felt deceived. In fact, I can show you what Spike Hike tweeted the other day which is the source of all this.

Spike Hike Disney Mix and PSS.png
“Disney Mix is what I meant when I announced Project Super Secret. But then somehow that became the name of the new CP.”

I think what Spike Hike is trying to say is, basically, what I said previously. When he mentions that Disney Mix “became the name of the new CP”, this may also mean that new Club Penguin will be called ‘Club Penguin Re-Mix’ but those rumours are still not confirmed. The point I am trying to make is that this enhancement, which is currently being made to aid the game, was only developed to assist the release of Disney Mix and vice versa. To make these two elements work together, they need to share the same technology.  Continue reading

My Club Penguin Perception

Hello everyone!

This is just a random post inspired by what I do on this blog. I felt that it has been a while since I did a similar post on this, discussing how my Club Penguin blogging is from a different perspective than anyone else’s. Well since I, probably, have new readers and new aims, I felt that it would be appropriate to share with you how I visualise Club Penguin blogging and why I blog in a different way than most people, usually do.

The Blue Blog Icon

So I first started off my Club Penguin blogging by posting regular updates that I wanted to share with the community. Every time Club Penguin would post something on their blog, I would try to echo the message on my own. Though I managed to gain some popularity and attention with this style of blogging, I didn’t like it at all (if I were totally honest). Why? Because you feel so concealed and suppressed with what you can do. You are restricted to the facts that you are practically “reposting” and I found that such a struggle; it bored me all the time. This also put me off my voluntary work on other people’s blogs. Most of my time was taken up to – literally – stare at Club Penguin for every hour of every day waiting for an update to be posted. And then this would lead onto that game where every CLub Penguin blog races to see who would be able to post it first; it was kind of annoying. No offence to some of the bloggers who hired me, but I also felt so pressured which is something I do not want when I blog because it just makes me stressed and defeats the object of blogging, in my opinion. Why blog about something when you are not even having fun? You don’t get paid. You are likely to be noticed only by the community. It takes a lot of time and effort. But if you make it fun, it is definitely worth it!

So I thought “how would I be able to cope with this for as long as I continue my blogging?”. I had no idea how to answer this question which made me think deeper about what blogs are all about. A blog defines you. In my opinion, every blog should have their own “personality” which reflects who you are and what you think of everything around you. Therefore I began to think how cool it would be to start something totally new. I wanted to pursue a new goal and that was to post about stuff I wanted to talk about other than just repeating what the Club Penguin blog give to us. As a result, this inspired me to move to WordPress where I could continue my blogging with a fresh aim that motivated me. From then on, I started to produce new and exciting posts that I loved making such as Island Discussions, Community Collabs and Waddle Guides (previously known as ‘Weekly Waddle Guides’). As new, unique topics began to grow and expand, I changed the name of my blog from ‘Blue’s Blog’ to ‘The Blue Blog’! Why did I do this? I did this because I wanted my blog to sound like its own thing. ‘Blue’s Blog’ shows property and I felt that it would be cooler if it sounded like it existed as its own thing so that it is not just a blog that I own. Plus, it sounds way more interesting!

Island Discussion #21: New Recruit

Hello everyone!

Welcome to this Island Discussion. I am back with another season for everyone to enjoy. Club Penguin mysteries still remain on the island. Lots of them have been uncovered but new ones have opened up ever since the return of the Elite Penguin Force during ‘Operation: Crustacean’. I am excited for the future of the EPF, especially when they will make another return this month to conclude the current operation to restore the energy source within the UFO. Things will also get a little prehistoric once again!

Anyway, the main topic I would like to discuss today is the mysterious new agent that has been recruited with an anonymous identity. The reason behind his highly classified figure is his “public persona”. I would like you to take a look at this page.

New Recruit Page 1

At the top it says “Highly Classified Intel”. Already, we have the impression that this figure is very secretive and we get an explanation of this at the bottom. Their “public persona” suggests that this newly recruited agent is already popular, publicly. Therefore, this penguin is likely to be a famous penguin! But which one? We will find out soon.

It also lets us know that this penguin’s status is active which means that they have already begun to get involved with EPF operations. So this implies that the new recruit has already begun their work within Operation: Crustacean. However there have been no reports of this new recruit on the scene…so far!

New Year, New Plans

UPDATE (01/01/2016 – 14:37)

If you have not read what is below then I suggest you read it before reading this. Actually, I have decided not to discontinue my posts. Even though Club Penguin is slipping out of my flippers, I am not letting go yet! I have amazing friends in the community who deserve to be entertained by my posts and I think that giving up now will start my new year sadly. I want to start fresh. So, now The Blue Blog will be back on track. Expect more posts soon!

Happy new year everyone!

-Blue21102

Hello everyone!

Happy new year and welcome to 2016 from ‘The Blue Blog’! I hope you all had a fantastic 2015 and I am hoping that you are all pumped up for another amazing year right ahead of us. Club Penguin is going to have a spectacular year since Project: Super Secret is going to open up a lot more fun for the community. We still don’t know – exactly – what it could be but we have some ideas…

Project: Super Secret could be a transformation from a virtual world into a bigger world in the 3rd dimension! We have seen a few sneak peeks such as the new dynamic emotes that penguins can use to express themselves physically. That seems cool! There is also a new, rendered Migrator for Rockhopper…in 3D! Also we have seen a version of (what seems to be) Club Penguin island…in 3D! The new clothing customiser looks amazing; as well as the new welcome area that will eventually be “introduced” to the island.

This project is big and very ambitious. 2016 is going to blast all of us away! After 10 terrific years of Club Penguin, it is finally time to step up the game with new technology and enhancements that will make our experience even better. What could this project be?

Happy Holidays!

Hey everyone!

Okay…I have a lot of explaining to do. So my Blog has kind of died for a couple of months. I guess it’s the same old story most of you know. Yeah, I am unpredictable! Stuff happens which means that I might not be here for some periods of time. It has happened a bit too often, though. So I am making this post to clear up the situation and obviously to wish everyone, reading, a happy holiday and a new year!

You are probably going to experience some déjà vu right now…

I am sorry, again. I left you hanging on this Blog and I have completely abandoned it. I apologise for not being able to read anyone’s comments for the last couple of months and it has given myself a bad impression for new readers. The only excuse I have for this is life. Basically, school, leisure and family. School has been very difficult for me because there has just been a heavy workload of education being piled onto me and it has taken up a lot of my own time too. This explains why I have not blogged on here for a while and even though it is technically a leisure of mine, blogging is something I consider fun but also a lot of work. To be honest, I have avoided blogging even when I have had the chance to return to it. This is because I have not been in the mood for it since it just reminds me of school and commitment. If I tried to do it, then I would have thought to myself how I would be able to maintain something that has just been rebooted. So, for me, it was almost impossible to start again as a result of family and school. I am not going to go into detail – at all – but someone in my family has fallen sick so it has been a stressful few weeks for anything else but support for my family. In addition, school has great dominance over my life right now and it is something that is far too difficult to escape from. This includes GCSE revision/mocks, general homework and autonomous activities that I am part of. Nevertheless, I care about my education and school reputation so it is just something to live with.

Therefore, what does this mean for ‘The Blue Blog’? I am afraid that I can not decide right now so I will endeavour and hopefully manage to start blogging again when there is not anything stopping me. Unfortunately, these occasions are rare (as I have just explained to you) but it is still possible – especially when it is the holidays!

Don’t worry; this post will not end on a sad note but a merry one instead! Of course, it is the holidays and this means that everyone should be riveted with joy and cheer for the special season and the new year. Did that just rhyme? Anyway I just want to clarify that I am not at all gone. If you want to chat, I am on Twitter @Blue21102. You can see my Twitter Timeline on the sidebar of this page. One thing I will try to do is check back on this Blog frequently in case of any comments anyone has to share. So because it is a very jolly time of the year, why not tell me anything that you are excited for? Perhaps: a present for Christmas, wishes for the new year or anything that will bring joy to ‘The Blue Blog’. I am all ears to anyone so please do not hesitate and comment below!

Last of all, a BIG thank you to everyone in the community and my readers for making 2015 a brill year! It has been especially this year when I have been able to become friends with a lot more people via Twitter and on this Blog so thank you for making my year a lot brighter through sunny and rainy times. The Blue Blog will continue its journey into a new and, hopefully, a better year than the last. Glad tidings to all of you…

…and a happy new year!
