The Penguin Playoffs: Highlights

Hello, everyone!

Yesterday, there was history.

The Penguin Playoffs was attacked by bots; everything started to crumble within the first 10 minutes. But, the community was resilient – we pushed forward until we defeated the bots and ended up having an amazing time! I found it very stressful. I was well aware that this event could be invaded by bots. I feared that it was going to be ruined by bots. Luckily, that didn’t happen. The Penguin Playoffs suffered some dark moments, but the ending was so delightful and the aim of the event was achieved: we played games and we had fun!

The Penguin Playoffs began at the Ice Rink. Well, sort of. I had reports saying that there was an army of bots, sinisterly, waiting there. As soon as I heard the news, my heart froze. The So Long CP Kickoff did not suffer any bot invasions – we were lucky! Unfortunately, I already got the impression that this So Long CP event was going to be a lot more stressful than I anticipated.

Anyway, I logged on and found the majority of guests waiting at the Snow Forts. It was bot free…for a bit. Then, they came storming in! Everyone was shocked and annoyed. It turned out that the event needed to take a deviation.

So, there were no teams (as planned), no schedule, and no fun. I was so frustrated. Anyway, I tried to evade the bots as hard as I could by telling everyone to go to different parts of the island, but that didn’t work; the bots were feasting off my tweets! Before long, I realised that the bots could not interrupt the actual mini-games! So, whilst at the Ski Hill, I told people to play games while they could and it worked – to an extent.

It just got very laggy.

It wasn’t a surprise, really. Plus, no one could really see me saying anything because the bots constantly spammed jokes. I tried to move away again; this time, to the Puffle Lodge. I took into consideration that the Find Four stations were spread across two rooms, so I was hoping that some penguins could innocently play a game of Find Four without disturbances. Unfortunately, the bots were smart enough to switch between the Mystery Attic and the Puffle Lodge. Also, the lag was even worse when playing Find Four. By then, I ran out of solutions, so I kept struggling onwards.

Next, it was time for some reckless Mancala!

Of course, the bots followed us. I was actually surprised to witness how patient a lot of the guests were; they stuck with me despite the bot invasion! I only managed to play one game of Mancala before I couldn’t handle the pressure. From here, the party started to fall apart rapidly.

Some players were spread across the island. I found some stowaways at the Snow Forts! Some were still at the Ice Rink, and a lot of them in the Club Penguin Times Office. At that moment, I knew that the party was collapsing, and – soon – everyone was going to leave. Continue reading

Club Penguin: My Top 10 Memories

Hello, everyone!

I was suggested, by Riyita, to make a post that highlights my, personal, top 10 most memorable moments on Club Penguin. I don’t think that I have ever made a post like this so I think making this post is ideal!

If you didn’t know already, I joined Club Penguin in September 2008 which is almost 8 years ago from today. Therefore, every memory I post occurred ever since then. Also, I will be working through this top ten in chronological order. All of my most memorable moments are as memorable as each other so I found it difficult to rank them all. Anyway, let’s begin the top 10!

10. My First Day

How can I ever forget my first day in Club Penguin? It was too exciting to forget! I remember logging on for the first time to find myself lost in the Town. There were so many people online and I am not exaggerating. It took about half a minute before I could locate where I was in the room which overwhelmed me a lot. I knew that Club Penguin was a popular game because I was influenced by many people around me. Club Penguin was a trending game when I was younger and I only felt that it was right to create an account so that I can explore a snowy island of wonder. I remember spamming the friend button so that I could get as many friends as I could. Unfortunately, I didn’t screenshot at all when I was a young Club Penguin player, so all I can use is this image. It reflects the popularity of Club Penguin when I first joined in 2008.

9. Earning my Black Belt

Now I skip forward to February 2009. It was around this time when I discovered the Dojo and the ancient art of Card-Jitsu. I think I took a small hiatus before then which explains why I was surprised to see the Dojo on the map. All I can say about this memory is that I was so determined. When I played Card-Jitsu with some fellow members of the community, I became instantly addicted and I remember logging back onto Club Penguin more than once a day, every day, every week in order to claim the “legendary” black belt. At the time, it was so treasured because if you had the black belt, you had the power. Can you remember all of the frustrating times when you were a wannabe ninja who always used to challenge Sensei in hope of a win? Only the black belt granted you that win; that being the ninja mask.  Continue reading

Summer Project

Hey everyone!

Less than a week left; summer is soon! I can’t wait until the holiday starts for me because, during my time off school, I can finally relax and enjoy blogging more! This year, however, I am going to work on a project! Not alone, hopefully. I kind of need your help!

Since May, my first Club Penguin comedy (The Phone Call) got a surprising amount of attention compared to my previous videos. People have left comments and given me positive feedback, saying that they loved it and I am so glad that people think that. Therefore, this motivated me to produce an Animated Short (Hermit) which also was successful. If you have not yet watched these videos, then I would extremely appreciate it if you watch them when you can! Just click on ‘BlueTube’ in the navigation bar near the top of my blog to find my YouTube channel. Overall, I am proud of myself for making these videos but now I want to take it a step further.

I am just finishing planning what my project is but I have hopes for it being big. Yes. I am going to be working on a new video soon and it will (hopefully) be a lot better than The Phone Call (not necessarily bigger). This new video I will be working on will be my second Club Penguin comedy but I want to treat it like a real movie, like I did with The Phone Call. This is what makes my videos different and I am happy to make them like this instead of making sketches – which is what you would usually expect. I have a story line. I have characters with meaning. I think it has potential.

Right now, I cannot tell you what it will be about but I am going to give anyone the opportunity to support me in making this new video by logging on during the holidays. Unlike with my last two “bigger videos”, I am now going to try and include as many people as I can for a better atmosphere. Also I have characters which need a particular penguin to play so I need to contact people nearer the time for an “audition” where I need to know whether the penguins auditioning will be committed enough to help me make the video. Once I know who these penguins will be, I will begin shooting the video (that is once I sort out a script too)!

However, I would also appreciate any other help from penguins who are bored or are willing to volunteer some of their spare time to be background characters in the play. Every penguin counts so any volunteers or cast will be credited at the end of the video and be given my appreciation.

That is all I have to say for now! I really hope that you will be interested in helping me but make sure you stay tuned for the next couple of weeks for more details on auditions and meet-ups. I am looking forward to this project and I hope you are too! Thank you!

Hermit | Animated Short

Hello everyone!

I am happy to tell you that I have another YouTube video for you! However it is not a ‘Club Penguin Comedy’ this time; it is more emotional than that. It is a video that portrays a message. That is why I want you to comment down below – what you think  – is the most important message conveyed throughout this video. I would love to hear what you think.

To summarise: this video is about a lonely Hermit living a difficult life without no one to love. But things change. He finds a friendship bracelet deliberately given to him. So Hermit searches out for the matching bracelet through a difficult journey, reflecting isolation and hope. Does he end up finding a friend? Watch the video and find out!

I really hope you enjoyed my new video. It is something I have never attempted to do before on this channel, until now, so I would really appreciate your feedback. Thank you for watching!

The Phone Call: Now Showing!

Hello everyone!

In celebration of my ‘Two Years’ of Club Penguin blogging, I can now present to you a fun-filled video for all of you to enjoy. Remember a month ago when I held a poll/vote on what video you would like to see next on my channel? Well, the results were in and you voted for a Club Penguin Comedy. Now, some of you may be thinking “What about the Club Penguin Documentary?”. Unfortunately, I made a blunder when counting the results and it turned out that more people wanted a Club Penguin Comedy than a documentary. However, that doesn’t mean that I am not working on one right now, right? 😉

Anyway, I have enjoyed making this video over the past month and I am very proud of what I have been able to produce. It is something totally new that I have introduced to my channel for a long time and the quality of it is much better compared to my previous uploads on my channel. Better editing, better effects, better animation and better visuals! All because of my ‘Two Years’ of blogging, I decided to step up the game and ‘wow’ you guys for all of your support that you have given me for two years. I appreciate every single one of you so thank you!

Now, just to warn you, this video is quite large; around 21 minutes long! I treated it like a comedy film instead of a video with ‘comedy sketches’. So I hope you like the concept. If you have any feedback or thoughts on the video, please leave a comment below or here!

Thank you very much for your support and I will now leave you with the video. Enjoy!
