Island Discussion #28: New Dimension

Hello everyone!

We have reached the end of May which – importantly – only means one thing; we are slowly creeping towards a finished project that yet remains “super secret” to us. Project: Super Secret can be a lot of things that we possibly couldn’t even imagine. Even though it has been through a few years of production and will continue to do so for the rest of this year (possibly) this project still lives up to its name and I applaud Club Penguin for that. On the other hand, it makes it so much harder for us to assume what it could be and the hype may end up driving us completely insane – if it hasn’t done so already!

To be fair, we have received several sneak peeks since last year and they are becoming more frequent and expected. By the end of each month, the team will continue to give us a sneak peek into what they are creating until they finally announce it. Now, from what we have seen, the project seems to have a lot of depth and by that I mean a variety of aspects that could push the boundaries and turn Club Penguin into something totally new! Maybe it is a good thing? Possibly not? Well, I think it is about time Club Penguin takes a new step since they have succeeded for a noticeable amount of years as an Adobe Flash based game. However the last couple of years haven’t been so good and that is not because the team are becoming lazy. It is quite the opposite, in fact! They have been working on this super secret project for a while now and we are soon from witnessing the final outcome, possibly by the end of this year.

So in this post today, I feel would be useful to recap everything we know about the project but what I am really interested in is how we get there. Not just from one game to another, but also from Club Penguin (2D) to Club Penguin (3D). It highlights a huge leap so it would be fair to say that some people will be blown away by this game. But because of how different it is, will this make the acceleration from one game to another unrealistic? It depends how creative the team are. But I am going to be talking about this later because, right now, I need to recapitulate what we know about Project: Super Secret – currently. We are going chronological so back we go to June/July 2015 when we received our first sneak peek.

Remember when Riyita (owner of Club Penguin Space) visited the Club Penguin Offices in Kelowna last year? It must have been a pretty amazing opportunity that I would snatch up any time, if I could. Anyway, Riyita was lucky enough the test out a “small” sample of Project: Super Secret. This was the Clothing Customizer. So after he had left Kelowna and was able to manage his blog once again, Riyita was given permission to show what he had made – with the Clothing Customizer – to the rest of the Club Penguin Community and (believe me) we were drowned with hype! This was the first time we managed to have a look at a physical representation of Project: Super Secret so you can imagine how surprised and thrilled we were.

A few days later (early July) Club Penguin officially confirmed this sneak peek and showed off a little video of what the early Clothing Customizer looked like at the time. Since it was a year ago, development of the app was obviously not final so what you see in the video may not appear in the official product. Below I have left an image of a fully customizable hoodie that featured in the video. If you want to see the video, click here. You can also check out Riyita’s small sneak peek right hereContinue reading

Island Discussion #22: Decipher

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to this week’s Island Discussion! In this post I will be focusing on the new Elite Penguin Force Handbook that arrived to the island in November. This handbook is packed with information on EPF agents and villains and I am very impressed by it. In my one of my previous Island Discussions, I was trying to find out who the new recruit was. My guess is that Franky is the new tech guru that has now joined the EPF. I hope that we can see him in action soon!

Anyway, today I will be going through all of the handbook to decrypt all of the codes. The EPF use a code called Tic-Tac-Toe and it has been used by the PSA, also. I am hoping that we will see more of these codes in future; preferably in an operation or around the island. Once I decode one, I will explore what it means and how it could have an impact on the future of Club Penguin. I hope you will enjoy!

The first code says “Maintain your cover”. This message is from the Director as it is on her page. I guess that this is an order to all EPF agents to stay secretive like herself. It shows that being an EPF agent requires stealth and responsibility so messing up would give away classified intel. This could hint for further attacks from the island’s most wanted criminals so stay sharp and listen to your orders.

The second code says “I miss the Sport Shop”. This message is located on Gary’s page and shows us that he misses his old job at the Sport Shop. Back in the old times, the Penguin Secret Agency had a secret base leading on from one of the changing rooms in the Sport Shop. Gary used to work there as a clerk at the counter. He was undercover and his job was to maintain responsibility over who was allowed to enter the PSA HQ. Obviously, Herbert blew it up in 2010 so the Sport Shop and the HQ was destroyed. This led to the evolution of the EPF! Loads of people miss the Sport Shop – like Gary – so this message may hint to a redesign of one coming later. Why put it there otherwise unless it was made to tease us, penguins?

The third code says “You did it! You found me!”. This message is from Dot and it is more like a joke than something important. Since Dot is a stealth agent and hides around a lot (it is part of her job after all), this message is like a representation of her and to decode it means that you have discovered what it says. I guess that it is quite funny to some people. Since it is just a silly little joke, there is nothing within it that could have an impact on the island in the future…DOT THE JOKER GAL CONFIRMED?

The fourth code says “Click Clickety Click!”. Rookie says this since it mentions that Rookie can speak fluent crab – which is a language that Klutzy can use. Rookie has used it a lot in the past. For example in previous PSA missions such as ‘Questions for a Crab’ and in the ‘System Defender’ game. Nobody really knows how he picked it up; it is just one of his wacky qualities of being Rookie. The translation from crab to english also remains unknown so we do not know at all what Rookie is saying. Let’s hope he is doing his job! Nothing in this message seems to have an impact on the island however it ties in with Klutzy and I have always wanted to know the back story of Rookie and how he became an agent and a fluent crab speaker. It’s a bit weird, don’t you think?

Island Discussion #21: New Recruit

Hello everyone!

Welcome to this Island Discussion. I am back with another season for everyone to enjoy. Club Penguin mysteries still remain on the island. Lots of them have been uncovered but new ones have opened up ever since the return of the Elite Penguin Force during ‘Operation: Crustacean’. I am excited for the future of the EPF, especially when they will make another return this month to conclude the current operation to restore the energy source within the UFO. Things will also get a little prehistoric once again!

Anyway, the main topic I would like to discuss today is the mysterious new agent that has been recruited with an anonymous identity. The reason behind his highly classified figure is his “public persona”. I would like you to take a look at this page.

New Recruit Page 1

At the top it says “Highly Classified Intel”. Already, we have the impression that this figure is very secretive and we get an explanation of this at the bottom. Their “public persona” suggests that this newly recruited agent is already popular, publicly. Therefore, this penguin is likely to be a famous penguin! But which one? We will find out soon.

It also lets us know that this penguin’s status is active which means that they have already begun to get involved with EPF operations. So this implies that the new recruit has already begun their work within Operation: Crustacean. However there have been no reports of this new recruit on the scene…so far!

Club Penguin: The Dark Island (Inside)

Hey everyone!

I has been roughly half a year ago since I released my first Club Penguin Documentary on my Sasquatch Theory. It was something totally unique that I thought of at the time and I am glad that a few of you were interested in it. My Club Penguin Documentaries tend to reflect my Island Discussions in a visual representative and I think that creating more of these will definitely be worth something. In addition, I conducted a survey a while ago asking if you would like to see more content on my YouTube Channel and it turns out that the Club Penguin Documentaries category was the most popular! Therefore I am happy to announce that a new one is in the making.

It will take a long time to record and glue it all together because my Club Penguin Documentaries explore – somewhat – a lot of detail! Also my new one is going to be even bigger than the last since it covers a range of different topics that all link up and since my last Club Penguin Documentary, the island has got darker and more theories have been produced. Just so you know, all my YouTube videos are recorded with Bandicam – a free recording software that it easy and fun to use. Unfortunately, there is going to be the watermark because (it is free) but you might want to know, I am not planning on upgrading the software in the future as I do not plan to focus more on video content than Blog content. I hope this makes sense. After I record my videos with Bandicam, I then edit in another free editing software – Windows Movie Maker. This is a fantastic program that allows you to do so much for a little. Obviously, other premium editing programs are bound to be much better however WMM does the job pretty well for me and some of you have been asking what programs I use so I recommend them all!

Anyway, I designed this post to give each and every one of you an ‘Inside’ to what the documentary will feature. It is possible that things will change for it in the future but I do have an idea of what is planned for the moment. So, the documentary is called ‘Club Penguin: The Dark Island’ and I am planning to release it sometime after new year, after covering a lot of content. For the documentary, I am depending on rooms in Club Penguin – hoping that they are in neutral form now and then so that I can record within these times. When there is a party going on, I tend to delay the recording until I have what is needed.

Island Discussion #20: Not Quite

Hey everyone!

First of all, I apologise for not being very on the ball lately. You know blogging means a lot to me so I try my best to keep my Blog fresh. However it can be very difficult to find time to throw a post in now and then but as you may know, already, my posts are not the most frequent because I care more about what I post than time. On a happier note, you may have noticed that this is my 20th Island Discussion! Thank you for supporting these posts and I hope you have found them intriguing and unique.

Now, onto today’s topic!

I, as well as many other penguins, am very excited about this year’s 10th Anniversary. The celebration is amazing and all of that time waiting for a stronger party paid off for sure! The 10th Anniversary Party is very different compared to all the other parties; it’s more like a trip down Waddle Lane! Now, I didn’t join Club Penguin until 2008 so I know all of the latest ones but it is so cool to finally relive the past and feel like a younger penguin – like I was, over 7 years ago! It is an amazing experience where a variety of mascots turn up as well. And the party introduces us to the Mascbots!

The Mascbots were created by Gary (of course) and they are designed to feed penguins about the island’s past! They look awesome but something about them is not quite so right. Read this newspaper article and you will see…

Gary Mascbots Analysis Continue reading
