Happy Holidays!

Hey everyone!

Okay…I have a lot of explaining to do. So my Blog has kind of died for a couple of months. I guess it’s the same old story most of you know. Yeah, I am unpredictable! Stuff happens which means that I might not be here for some periods of time. It has happened a bit too often, though. So I am making this post to clear up the situation and obviously to wish everyone, reading, a happy holiday and a new year!

You are probably going to experience some déjà vu right now…

I am sorry, again. I left you hanging on this Blog and I have completely abandoned it. I apologise for not being able to read anyone’s comments for the last couple of months and it has given myself a bad impression for new readers. The only excuse I have for this is life. Basically, school, leisure and family. School has been very difficult for me because there has just been a heavy workload of education being piled onto me and it has taken up a lot of my own time too. This explains why I have not blogged on here for a while and even though it is technically a leisure of mine, blogging is something I consider fun but also a lot of work. To be honest, I have avoided blogging even when I have had the chance to return to it. This is because I have not been in the mood for it since it just reminds me of school and commitment. If I tried to do it, then I would have thought to myself how I would be able to maintain something that has just been rebooted. So, for me, it was almost impossible to start again as a result of family and school. I am not going to go into detail – at all – but someone in my family has fallen sick so it has been a stressful few weeks for anything else but support for my family. In addition, school has great dominance over my life right now and it is something that is far too difficult to escape from. This includes GCSE revision/mocks, general homework and autonomous activities that I am part of. Nevertheless, I care about my education and school reputation so it is just something to live with.

Therefore, what does this mean for ‘The Blue Blog’? I am afraid that I can not decide right now so I will endeavour and hopefully manage to start blogging again when there is not anything stopping me. Unfortunately, these occasions are rare (as I have just explained to you) but it is still possible – especially when it is the holidays!

Don’t worry; this post will not end on a sad note but a merry one instead! Of course, it is the holidays and this means that everyone should be riveted with joy and cheer for the special season and the new year. Did that just rhyme? Anyway I just want to clarify that I am not at all gone. If you want to chat, I am on Twitter @Blue21102. You can see my Twitter Timeline on the sidebar of this page. One thing I will try to do is check back on this Blog frequently in case of any comments anyone has to share. So because it is a very jolly time of the year, why not tell me anything that you are excited for? Perhaps: a present for Christmas, wishes for the new year or anything that will bring joy to ‘The Blue Blog’. I am all ears to anyone so please do not hesitate and comment below!

Last of all, a BIG thank you to everyone in the community and my readers for making 2015 a brill year! It has been especially this year when I have been able to become friends with a lot more people via Twitter and on this Blog so thank you for making my year a lot brighter through sunny and rainy times. The Blue Blog will continue its journey into a new and, hopefully, a better year than the last. Glad tidings to all of you…

…and a happy new year!

Club Penguin: The Dark Island (Inside)

Hey everyone!

I has been roughly half a year ago since I released my first Club Penguin Documentary on my Sasquatch Theory. It was something totally unique that I thought of at the time and I am glad that a few of you were interested in it. My Club Penguin Documentaries tend to reflect my Island Discussions in a visual representative and I think that creating more of these will definitely be worth something. In addition, I conducted a survey a while ago asking if you would like to see more content on my YouTube Channel and it turns out that the Club Penguin Documentaries category was the most popular! Therefore I am happy to announce that a new one is in the making.

It will take a long time to record and glue it all together because my Club Penguin Documentaries explore – somewhat – a lot of detail! Also my new one is going to be even bigger than the last since it covers a range of different topics that all link up and since my last Club Penguin Documentary, the island has got darker and more theories have been produced. Just so you know, all my YouTube videos are recorded with Bandicam – a free recording software that it easy and fun to use. Unfortunately, there is going to be the watermark because (it is free) but you might want to know, I am not planning on upgrading the software in the future as I do not plan to focus more on video content than Blog content. I hope this makes sense. After I record my videos with Bandicam, I then edit in another free editing software – Windows Movie Maker. This is a fantastic program that allows you to do so much for a little. Obviously, other premium editing programs are bound to be much better however WMM does the job pretty well for me and some of you have been asking what programs I use so I recommend them all!

Anyway, I designed this post to give each and every one of you an ‘Inside’ to what the documentary will feature. It is possible that things will change for it in the future but I do have an idea of what is planned for the moment. So, the documentary is called ‘Club Penguin: The Dark Island’ and I am planning to release it sometime after new year, after covering a lot of content. For the documentary, I am depending on rooms in Club Penguin – hoping that they are in neutral form now and then so that I can record within these times. When there is a party going on, I tend to delay the recording until I have what is needed.

Island Discussion #20: Not Quite

Hey everyone!

First of all, I apologise for not being very on the ball lately. You know blogging means a lot to me so I try my best to keep my Blog fresh. However it can be very difficult to find time to throw a post in now and then but as you may know, already, my posts are not the most frequent because I care more about what I post than time. On a happier note, you may have noticed that this is my 20th Island Discussion! Thank you for supporting these posts and I hope you have found them intriguing and unique.

Now, onto today’s topic!

I, as well as many other penguins, am very excited about this year’s 10th Anniversary. The celebration is amazing and all of that time waiting for a stronger party paid off for sure! The 10th Anniversary Party is very different compared to all the other parties; it’s more like a trip down Waddle Lane! Now, I didn’t join Club Penguin until 2008 so I know all of the latest ones but it is so cool to finally relive the past and feel like a younger penguin – like I was, over 7 years ago! It is an amazing experience where a variety of mascots turn up as well. And the party introduces us to the Mascbots!

The Mascbots were created by Gary (of course) and they are designed to feed penguins about the island’s past! They look awesome but something about them is not quite so right. Read this newspaper article and you will see…

Sharing Creativity

Hey everyone!

Today I have a Waddle Guide for you to read and I think it is an interesting topic which will, hopefully, inspire you to open your minds more. One of the best things about the Club Penguin team is that it allows such creativity to be noticed and showcased. For example, they offer everyone in the community to submit fan art for monthly ‘Featured Fan Art’ videos. There is also the legendary Club Penguin Times Newspaper which encourages talented penguins from around the community to submit in their own jokes, fan art and a question for Aunt Arctic. I find that the Club Penguin Times is another way to help people get involved and this is yet another method from the team. What does this tell us? It tells us that Club Penguin care about it’s community and try to find many way to value everyone the best they can.

Let’s think about more examples. There is the Penguin of the Week award that is given to one lucky penguin who was nominated by one or more of their friends. I think this one is special since it shows everyone how valuable friendship is and helps the community to appreciate things more such as helpful penguins who do something special in aid of someone else. Another example includes recognition for Club Penguin Blogs. I do believe that the team check out as many Blog as they can to receive feedback and to take in any notes on anything we blog about. This helps to motivate people (like me) to blog more to you and to still keep on producing posts that are fun.

If we think more about in-game, some great hobbies to help share your creativity would be music making with SoundStudio and Igloo Designing. SoundStudio is an amazing game that helps you make music by using sampled tracks that are pre-made. However the combinations can be different every time because you can do a lot with SoundStudio. After you finish recording some music that you are proud of, people can like it which shows peer support online. Everyone loves visiting the Dance Club – thanks to SoundStudio – because there are some awesome tunes out there for people to hear and dance to. I recommend using SoundStudio more often if you love music!

Igloo Designing was covered in my last Waddle Guide however I think it is worth stating again that igloos are there for personality and creativity. Igloos show visitors what your penguin is like and your igloo is your own piece of land on Club Penguin where you can go wild and create anything you like. Again, you can gain likes from igloo decorating which is something great to be more aware of as it makes you feel proud and more recognised in such a BIG community.

Blue Reviews: What’s New Page

Hey there!

Before I begin reviewing in this post, I would like to introduce you to a wider experience with ‘Blue Reviews’. Before I just reviewed monthly parties that come and go all the time. Now I have decided to review other stuff too! This could be a particular topic in Club Penguin. It could be an update to something. It could even be a Blog! I thought that expanding on this topic would introduce you to much more content because I review all sorts of things so I thought it was time to make this addition to my ‘Blue Reviews’.

In my party reviews, I give a score out of ten however other stuff I review will just be my thoughts to keep it brief and personal. You can feel free to write your thoughts on the ‘What’s New’ page since everyone has their own opinions. Now, here is my ‘Blue Reviews What’s New Page’!

After several weeks of waiting for the (postponed) update to the Club Penguin Blog, it is finally here! The ‘Club Penguin Blog’ is now just one segment of the What’s New page, where everyone can stop by and see the latest news. The benefit of this update was to organise posts into different categories so navigation is a lot easier; it also looks neat visually! Below is what the page looks like when you first arrive.

Club Penguin What's New Page

So what is new with this page? Well, now each post has a thumbnail so players can view an image preview on what the post is about. There are also new icons that show you what category the post is in. In this case, the pencil icon represents a blog post whereas the newspaper icon represents a ‘Club Penguin Times’ post. These categories can also be viewed in the new sidebar on the right along with ‘Latest Posts’ and ‘Video’ content.
