The Penguin Playoffs

Hello, everyone!

As I mentioned in my previous post, the So Long CP Kickoff went very well! In this post, I will be announcing the next event in this project. If you have read the title, you may have an idea of what the event is called and what it is about. I am excited to reveal the next event which is called…

Before Game Over, we must Game On!

This event is all about mini-games! Club Penguin is full of them and we need to make the most of them before the game ends on March 29th.

Some of the greatest things about Club Penguin are the old and nostalgic games within it. Uniting the community together – for an event like this – will remind us all of the glory days! The Penguin Playoffs will ensure that every penguin will have fun, no matter how competitive you are. Instead of an intense tournament, it’s more like a celebration of the fantastic mini-games on Club Penguin. Nevertheless, this won’t stop you from having your own little competitions with the event!

If you are interested in attending, the event will be starting at the Ice Rink. For about 10 minutes, we will be hanging out there (playing ice hockey if you really feel like it) and getting sort into two groups. The So Long CP hosts will be doing this and the reason for it is because we want as many penguins to play – as possible! Therefore, splitting the attendees into two large groups will mean that we can play more games simultaneously with each other.

In other words…

There are going to be two teams. These are: #TeamAstro and #TeamIce. These names will not have much significance during the event but they will be important for penguins who get lost. The hosts of each team will be tweeting out live room updates during the event so make sure you keep an eye on these hashtags.

Once the teams have been sorted at the Ice Rink, the hosts will direct you to your first game station. There are 4 game stations in total!

#TeamAstro will begin the playoffs at the Puffle Lodge, playing Find Four. #TeamIce will begin the playoffs at the Dance Club, playing Dance Contest. The main goal is to play with many of your friends or acquaintances! There will be 15 minutes allowed at each game pinguinosledracer-recordstation, before it is time to move around the carousel. #TeamAstro will then be able to Sled Race, on Ski Hill, whilst #TeamIce move onto Card-Jitsu! That includes Fire, Water and Snow too!

After another 15 minutes have passed, the two teams will switch with each other. So, #TeamAstro goes to the Dance Club and #TeamIce will go to the Puffle Lodge. If you work out the math, it means that there will be a total 60 minutes of game time! After the whole process is complete, both teams will then reunite at the Ice Rink, and then the event will finish there. As you can tell, this event requires a lot of moving around but it will be done with ease! More importantly, it means that we can play more games (without having to wait) at the same time!

So, that is the main plan we have for the event! The So Long CP team have spent a while trying to plan this so it should be very fun! If you are planning on attending the event, feel free to use the hashtags: #GameOn and #SoLongCP – yourself – to promote the event and share it with your friends.

I think it will be smart of me to actually let you know when this event will be happening! The event will take place on…

Saturday, 11th February, 2:00 PM (PST) on server Marshmallow.

I have also made an invitation for the event, which you will likely be seeing – frequently – on Twitter. Again, we would appreciate your support if you shared these invitations out so that we can get as many penguins, involved, as possible.

So Long CP Kickoff: Highlights

Hello, everyone!

Yesterday was one of the greatest days I’ve had in a long time. Wow! If you weren’t aware, the So Long CP Kickoff happened last night and it was such a success! The whole intention of the event was to unite the community together and spread awareness of the project I am working on.

Since this was my first ambitious project that involves the community in a big way, I was really nervous about how it would turn out. I was worried about several things. Bots was one of them. Miraculously, however, no bots – at all – invaded the party! Another worry was that no one would come along. In the past, I have attempted to throw big parties, but they never seemed to succeed. This was probably due to lack of stability. This time, however, I hired an awesome team to help me out. This means that the So Long CP project has more support and organisation. So Long CP is my project, but it would never have successfully happened without Daisy, Nina, Littlee, Dylan, Vanessa, Trip and Tom.

In fact, I’d like to think that this project is for everyone in the community because that is what it is all about! The Kickoff received a ton of positive feedback and it is simply because of this team and due to the amount of you who got involved.

For that, I would like to say thank you so much!

What I witnessed at the Kickoff was the beginning of (what is definitely going to be) an immense ending to Club Penguin. Now, I have no clue when the game will end but the whole point of the project is to gather as many penguins from the community, as possible, all in one place before the community starts to split. By that, I mean that the new game (Club Penguin Island) will cause a lot of the community to shift away from Club Penguin. Others however, will be staying on Club Penguin – anxiously waiting for its definite end. We all know now that Club Penguin Island will launch some time in March. That is really soon so I think that this is the perfect time for the So Long CP project to make its debut!

Anyway, the whole point of this post is to highlight the memories we made last night. There was – indeed – so many! Therefore, I think it is sensible for me to showcase them through pictures.

Enjoy this montage!

What an awesome experience…

Now, I have heard that some of you weren’t able to attend. Fortunately, this was only the Kickoff of this project; the So Long CP Project consists of several events! The next event will actually be announced tomorrow, so stay tuned!

If you attended the party last night, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and I am looking forward to making even more memories with you all. Be sure to let me know what your highlights were in the comments below. Thank you for reading!

So Long Club Penguin

Hello, everyone!

The Club Penguin Island party has arrived at the island and it has been fun to see what the party has in store for us. So far, it looks as if penguins will be given a taster of what life is like on Club Penguin Island. All we know at the moment is that this new game will be launched – worldwide – sometime this year. Most likely, it will be released in the early months of 2017 since this party hints towards this. As you can imagine, this is an exciting but scary time for penguins. Is this new game going to revive the game? Will Club Penguin be gone forever? Will I like the new game? So far, the feedback from Club Penguin Island has been really decent so I am sure it will be even better when it launches soon. I have a lot of hope in the game but I am still quite nervous myself.

It is almost time for me to say goodbye to a game that has impacted our lives so much. Club Penguin will not be ending too soon (so don’t you worry) but the community will be a lot more sparse as it merges in with the new game. Club Penguin is in need of an update which is why Club Penguin Island was built by the team. It is similar to Club Penguin but, at the same time, it offers a lot of new experiences! I have been able to beta test the game and my overall thoughts are very positive. There are some bugs which need squishing but that’s what the beta is all about! Anyway, this seems like a really cool game but it will never replace Club Penguin on the web. Club Penguin has not been doing so well recently (due to the development of the new game) but I can think of so many fun memories I have made with it.

So, I was thinking about memories for a bit and something struck me. If Club Penguin Island is close to its launch, how are we going to celebrate the end of Club Penguin? Not only how are we to celebrate it, but how are we to finish the journey we started? Well, I have come up with a solution and it involves the community. I would like to introduce you to a project called…

So Long CP is going to involve the community in a big way! Now, I have never done anything like this before but I have confidence in it if we all work together. Let me tell you the hopes I have for this project. Continue reading

Blue Reviews: Music Jam ’16

Hello, everyone!

Welcome to Blue Reviews – a topic in which I speculate and talk about the different parties that visit Club Penguin every month. Each of my reviews is separated into different sections where I review the parties’: Storyline, Visuals, Content and Music. At the end, I round off the review with The Verdict. This concludes my thoughts on the party with comments on the party, as a whole. Afterwards, I rate the party with a score out of 10. Feel free to let me know what you think of the monthly party in the comments section. I hope you will enjoy my review of this month’s party:
